Why we love this trip
We've combined the best of South Africa starting with the Garden Route and ending with a Kruger safari making sure there is no compromise in the quality of what you'll see - what's not to love?! This is a self-guided trip which means you can run it when you want to, with whoever you want to! We recommend July to October so that you have the chance to see the whales migrating along the way.
The Garden Route is a very special part of South Africa as you get to experience the magnificent whale migration, fabulous wine and food, and stunning scenery as well. This trip brings out your inner outdoorsy side and with organised day trips along the way as well as that much needed free time, so you are able to explore everything this part of the world has to offer.

This tour begins with all things wildlife, with a fabulous whale, dolphin and penguin spotting boat trip in Port Elizabeth, and some self-drive game spotting in Addo National Park getting you up close and personal with Africa's finest right from the get go. After all this excitement, it's time to relax and go wine tasting by horse and carriage, before exploring the beautiful seaside town of Plettenberg Bay and the nearby sights.

Next, head to Cape Agulhas to stand on the Southernmost tip of Africa, before arriving in Hermanus, the whale capital of South Africa. You might be lucky enough to spot these grand creatures from the shore, but if not don't worry - you'll be going out to sea to discover just how many small pods you can find!

During this time we will head up Table Mountain, fit in some more wine tasting in this stunning region, plus you will have free time to explore at your own pace and soak up the everything else this awesome city has to offer.
