Days 1-5 | Entebbe, Murchison Falls & Kibale Forest National Parks

On arrival at Entebbe Airport you'll be transferred to your hotel and depending on your time of arrival, can spend time exploring the city. We drive northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping off for a rhino tracking experience on foot. During our time here we enjoy both a game drive and a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile, and witness amazing views with stunning waterfalls. Next we head south to Fort Portal and Kibale National Park, our home for the next two nights and our base to track chimpanzees, take a swamp walk, and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.

Days 6-9 | Queen Elizabeth National Park & Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

From Kibale we depart for the northern section of the Queen Elizabeth National Park for a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where the shores are dotted with herds of elephant, buffalo, pods of hippos, and countless bird species. We'll also enjoy a game drives in the northern section of this fantastic park as we make our way to the southern section, Ishasha, where we have the opportunity to spot the tree climbing lions on that reside in this area. Next we head to Bwindi, where the gorillas await! We follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with.

Days 10-12 | Lake Bunyonyi & Lake Mburo National Park

We leave Bwindi and the gorillas behind and drive to Lake Bunyonyi where we spend the night overlooking Uganda's deepest lake, and you'll have the opportunity to try your hand at paddling a dugout canoe. Our final destination is Uganda's smallest National Park, Lake Mburo, with its swamp-fringed lakes where the birdlife is very rich, and of course the lake itself, which is home to schools of hippos and crocodiles. We enjoy a boat ride on Lake Mburo itself as well, a short game drive to explore this small but interesting park, and a guided game-walk to bring this trip to an end. You'll be dropped back in Entebbe after a quick stop at the equator and a chance to see how ceremonial drums are made.
